Metaphor

“The sweetest honey is loathsome In his own deliciousness” this metaphor is very smartly used because it basically means to much if something good can be very bad like the love between Romeo & Juliet is good and sweet and they love eachother a lot so the fact that touch of something good is bad then friar Lawrence is telling them that the love will bring terrible causes and problems that make huge problems. This is a very smart metaphor that is hidden and makes it intersting.

This is well explained. I don’t think you have to go too far talking about how interesting the metaphor is. Your analysis is stronger when you simply identify the metaphor and explain how it functions.

I like how you’ve put it into context and you’re showing a clear awareness of the fact that it’s Friar Lawrence issuing a warning to Romeo.

    Nice work.
